Alyssa Alonso
Hi I am Alyssa, a graduate student at FIU, working toward a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently a 4th grade math teacher with a strong passion for teaching and supporting young learners. I enjoy continuously learning about early childhood education and finding meaningful ways to apply research-based practices in the classroom.

Taylor Burgin
Hi, I’m Taylor, a Pre-K 3 teacher and graduate student at FIU pursuing a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about creating nurturing, intentional classroom environments where young children feel safe, valued, and capable. My work centers on fostering curiosity, connection, and confidence while helping students see themselves as thoughtful and capable learners from the very beginning.

Ruthann Beales
I am a 24-year-old educator currently working as a teacher’s assistant at a micro school. I also serve in my church’s children’s ministry, teaching and caring for children ages four and under. I hold a bachelor’s degree in business and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in early childhood education, combining my background in organization and leadership with my passion for nurturing young learners.

Yusi Del Cuadro
I graduated in 2001 from University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Psychology. For more than 20 years, I have worked in education, primarily in the field of special education, supporting diverse learners and helping students reach their full potential.
Currently, I serve as a Developmental Specialist, where I continue to support children’s growth by focusing on cognitive, social, and academic development. I am also presently pursuing my Ed. S. in School Psychology, further strengthening my expertise in assessment, intervention, and student support.

Kaniesha Stringer
I am a dedicated second-grade teacher who creates engaging, student-centered lessons that support both academic and social-emotional growth. I design hands-on, developmentally appropriate learning experiences, especially in reading and math, using strategies that help students build understanding step by step. My teaching emphasizes critical thinking, reflection, and active participation while fostering a safe, supportive classroom environment where students feel confident taking risks, expressing themselves, and growing as independent learners. I value clear communication with families and continuous professional growth to strengthen my practice.
